The customer contacted us in early August. The building was still under construction, the frames were raised, but there were no walls and roof. At that time, a preliminary calculation was made, but when the building was already prepared (walls, roof appeared), we were invited to perform the work themselves.

When we decided on the design of the floor, the choice was between polished concrete and concrete with topping. As a result, it was considered that the optimal solution here would be a concrete floor with topping reinforced with macrofibre, and proposed it. As a result, this technical solution was implemented.

The loads in the warehouse were expected to be standard – no more than 4-5 tons.

FEATURES OF THE WORKS

Since the building is brand new, the customer has not yet made a concrete blind area around the perimeter. There was no drainage system, and therefore water after snowmelt accumulated near the building, and from under the foundation it went inside the room. It started at the moment when we completed the pouring stage and started grout. As a result, due to the moisture that penetrated into the room, the concrete took longer to harden, and the workers had to rub over more and generally work harder.

Even during the filling, when some area was already flooded, an accident happened in this area and the lights were turned off. The concrete unit was also unable to supply us with concrete. I had to take an unplanned break. Fortunately, this pause turned out to be acceptable in duration for the implemented technical solution. Electricity was restored fairly quickly, and work continued.

OUR RESULTS

The customer was satisfied with the result. He plans to raise a new building in a couple of months and invite us to fill again. So we are waiting for continued cooperation.
