This technology requires careful planning and consistent execution of all stages of the process to ensure high reliability and functionality of the floors.
Industrial premises where it is necessary to install industrial concrete floors have special requirements for strength and stability. They must withstand intense operational loads, vibrations, as well as resist chemical influences. Moreover, such floors can be installed both indoors and outdoors.
The use of industrial concrete floors is widespread in various industries. They are ideal for warehouses, workshops, trading halls, cold storage rooms, parking lots, as well as in factories and enterprises. It is especially important to note that such premises often have huge areas that require a reliable and durable foundation, which in itself is a finishing material.
TECHNOLOGY OF FLOOR INSTALLATION FOR INDUSTRIAL PREMISES
The production concrete floor consists of several layers (see the picture below), which together form a solid and high-quality structure. The floor base (see point 1 in the figure) can be made of various materials, such as asphalt, old concrete, soil and others. It must have sufficient strength and the ability to withstand loads that will act from above.
One of the important aspects in the construction of a production concrete floor is waterproofing (see point 2 in the figure below). If the floor is filled on a soil basis, waterproofing is mandatory. In the case of using other bases, it is necessary to assess the need for waterproofing in a specific situation.
The main floor layer is a concrete screed (see point 3), which becomes the basis for the finishing coating. The quality of this layer is a key factor.
The reinforcing top layer, topping (see point 4 in the figure) provides the proper design strength of the floor structure for your production room.
And, of course, the design will not be complete if it does not provide insulation seams (see point 5 in the figure) and shrinkage seams (see point 6 in the figure). They will take the stress off the floor structure, and thus it will last you 10 years or more!
