WE HAVE SELECTED THE OPTIMAL ENGINEERING SOLUTION

We were approached by a homeowners' association in the center of Moscow. Their building had an underground parking lot in a rather poor condition, with a damaged polymer coating and a poor base. They wanted to remove the current floor and replace it with a new polymer layer.

We proposed a more optimal solution that required less time to implement. In the context of working on such a project, time was of the utmost importance, as most residents wanted to see it through as quickly as possible.

The following design was selected – a topping floor with an average thickness of 90 mm, reinforced with polypropylene fiber. The complex of works also included repair of concrete bumpers.

FEATURES OF WORKS

Already at the negotiation stage it turned out to be difficult – the customer was not one person, but a group of residents with different views.

The conditions were cramped: there was barely enough space for the equipment (the furthest point of the concrete pump route was 140 m), and the work was carried out strictly at the allotted time, when the residents cleared the parking lot and moved their cars to other places.

The first pouring was difficult – it was about 30 degrees, and the concrete dried out quickly. Before the second one, together with the supplier, we selected a composition with a plasticizer: it remained mobile longer and did not require extra water.

The second concrete laying proceeded much more calmly, with normal technological breaks between stages.

OUR RESULTS

Although there were five people on the acceptance committee with different opinions about what the floor should be like, we passed the project without any problems – the quality spoke for itself.
