This client contacted us again – a year and a half ago, we already successfully completed work in his repair box. This time, the contract was signed and the advance was paid six months ago, but all this time the customer could not vacate the premises in any way – active production was underway. Finally, during the May holidays, he managed to stop work and transfer the site to us.

The presence of a sufficiently flat concrete base at the facility allowed our chief designer to choose such a technical solution – a concrete floor with an average thickness of 90 mm with a reinforcing top layer, reinforced over the entire area with plastic fiber and additionally reinforced in several small areas with a reinforcing frame.

how we implemented this floor design

FEATURES OF THE WORK

Initially, we planned to build a street ramp in front of the gate. At some point, the customer changed his mind and decided that the ramp should be inside the building. But in the end, we decided on the first option together.

To carry out the filling on the street section, the old ramp had to be dismantled beforehand, and it was quite a challenge – it had powerful metal products that reinforced the structure to withstand the loads of heavy machinery. At first, one local crawler excavator was connected, but it could not cope, so they used another, more powerful one.

Our first fill failed. Everything was ready – the concrete pump and the crew were in place. The first mixer arrived, we started laying the mixture on a small area of 20 m2 and saw concrete of such terrible quality, which we had never encountered before. 15 minutes after pouring, it was already possible to walk on it, although the workers' feet had to sink to the base with such fresh concrete.

We immediately stopped the pouring and started to figure out what was going on. As a result, we did not do any more pouring that day – the rest of the mixers that arrived with this concrete were sent back to the plant. We removed a small filled area from the site, did a new preparation, and then poured a good mixture over the entire area.

OUR RESULTS

Despite all the difficulties, we provided the client with a good final product in the form of a modern industrial floor.
