We were contacted by the general contractor, who performed a lot of work himself at this facility. It was necessary to make not just a concrete floor, but an entire foundation slab 40 cm thick according to the existing project. In addition, a preliminary step in the framework of the complex of works was the installation of a sandy base.

The customer had a basic need for us to complete the work on time, otherwise the object would have remained unfinished all winter.

The technical solution was chosen as follows – a foundation plate and a concrete floor with topping 40 cm thick, reinforced in 2 layers with reinforcement 16.

FEATURES OF THE WORK

The customer dug the excavation with an excavator on his own, and then we made a sandy base. He gave us level 0, the mark according to which the final level of the foundation plate should be.

Based on this, we took 40 cm away from the foundation plate. A skating rink, an excavator tractor, and workers were called, and our foreman controlled all this - we arranged the sandy base, tamped, compacted with a roller and a manual vibrating plate.

Before filling, we arranged waterproofing, but not in the form of a film, but in the form of a Planter membrane.

In most cases, we make concrete floors from 8 to 20 cm thick, but here as much as 40 cm. In addition, it was necessary to make a foundation slab here. Unlike a conventional floor, it carries loads not only from machinery and equipment inside the room, but also around the perimeter from the walls.

The reinforcement turned out to be powerful. Again, fittings of 10-12 are usually used for floors. Here,1616 reinforcement was used in two layers. Along the perimeter, in addition, every 20 cm was reinforced with "Ps" (reinforcement curved products in the shape of the letter "P"). Given the fact that the hangar itself should not be heavy, this design is made with a large margin.

Initially, the object was a foundation pit – there were no walls where the slab would rest. Therefore, the formwork had to be assembled along the perimeter. We ordered the so-called metal shields for rent, having previously provided the supplier with the size requirements.

OUR RESULTS

There were some circumstances due to which we could not complete our work within the planned time frame. However, we proved ourselves to be competent and finished exactly on that day, as expected.

In our opinion, one of the main indicators of good work is the client's desire for further cooperation. That's exactly what happened – at the moment we are actively working on another facility of this general contractor in the same territory.
