how we implemented this floor design

FOUND A MORE ECONOMICAL SOLUTION TO THE FLOOR ARRANGEMENT FOR HIS OFFICE

Initially, the client had a standard concrete floor reinforced with a double reinforcement mesh in the design solution. After the measurements of a specialist and a detailed survey of the client, we decided to offer the client a technology using polypropylene fiber, which is great for office space.

ADVANTAGES OF FIBER-REINFORCED CONCRETE TECHNOLOGY

Fibro-concrete floor technology, in contrast to reinforced with reinforcement, has a number of advantages. A single armature works only for the bottom or only for the top, a double one will be a good blow to the wallet. Fiber works all over the base and in some respects surpasses the reinforcing mesh, namely:

  1. Increases the strength of concrete for bending, compression and splitting up to 35%.
  2. Increases impact and fatigue strength over 500%.
  3. Prevents delamination of concrete mix up to 25%.
  4. Reduces the time of primary and final hardening by up to 50%.
  5. Reduces the risk of chipping corners and edges up to 90%.

HOW WE CUT COSTS

The technology we have proposed has reduced the cost by 22.9%, because polypropylene fiber is cheaper than rebar. It significantly reduces the production time, because it does not need to be reinforced with a reinforcing mesh. At the same time, concrete is already supplied with fiber.

INSTALLATION OF A FLOOR FOR AN OFFICE IN MOSCOW

After the delivery of equipment and materials to the facility, we started work on the same day. The work was carried out in winter, which, in turn, contributed to the long hardening of the concrete mixture.

An additional complication was the thin concrete screed of the site up to 5 cm thick, since with such a thickness it is difficult to introduce a hardener. In addition, there were many columns, abutments and jewelry work with a concrete pump was carried out at the facility. And in some places, laying was carried out.

THE RESULT OF OUR WORK

When handing over the object, the customer had no complaints, the concrete coating turned out to be of high quality and perfectly fit into the loft style.
