The customer contacted us with the task to repair the current floor on two floors of the food warehouse.

The client named the following important parameters for the final coating: resistance to moisture, dust, abrasion; resistance to aggressive media (to acid and alkali solutions); durability; evenness; aesthetics (gray color).

As a result of a remote technical assessment and technical inspection at the facility itself, the following engineering solution was selected – a concrete floor with a reinforcing top layer reinforced with plastic macrofibre over the entire area and in some areas additionally reinforced with a reinforcing frame.

FEATURES OF THE WORK

On both floors, the customer arranged underfloor heating on small plots on his own. This system had a sufficiently high height and thus "ate up" the thickness of our floor. The client made the underfloor heating after the conclusion of the contract. Therefore, it was necessary to sign an additional agreement on raising the floor level and increasing its average thickness.

There were many trenches on the ground floor. The customer himself filled them with rubble and compacted them, and we already knitted the reinforcement in one layer over them.

There was no elevator, and it was impossible to lift the grout machines up the stairs. When the second floor was being built, a manipulator was called to lift and lower the equipment.

OUR RESULTS

Despite the relatively small area of the facility, it cannot be called simple. Nevertheless, extensive experience working with completely different industrial facilities and compliance with standard technology led to the expected result – a strong and durable floor with the required technical parameters.
