WE HAVE SELECTED THE OPTIMAL ENGINEERING SOLUTION

This time the object was the AUCHAN hypermarket. The customer was solving a complex problem there – first, the repair of the concrete slab-the ceiling of the second floor was required, which by that time had completely deformed and because of this was already unusable. He carried out the dismantling on his own, re-strengthened and filled in.

Our task was to pour a concrete leveling reinforced screed and perform a concrete coating with a hardener using the "wet on wet" method. This technology is still used in few places. We had to develop a separate technological map for it. The "wet on wet" method is quite complex and requires certain costs for the organization of work. To date, there are only two companies that work on this technology: Swiss Sica and German Basf. We chose to work in Swiss.

The technology was adopted as standard, which was developed by the Swiss concern Sica. A technologist from this company was present during the work.

FEATURES OF THE WORKS

The choice of such a technical solution proved to be fraught with some difficulties. For example, this screed had the minimum possible thickness. At the same time, a very high grade of concrete M400 was adopted.

In order to implement the wet-on-wet technology, it was necessary to purchase completely new equipment for mixing the hardening compound. In this technical solution, special mortar mixers are used, and it takes a lot of them to work continuously. There were additional costs.

The work was carried out in August, when there was a strong heat. Taking into account the use of a high grade of concrete, it was necessary to perform work in a short time.

OUR RESULTS

After the implementation of the object, there were moments that had to be settled, coordinated. However, the customer is ready to continue cooperation with us, as he plans further repair work in this hall, and we have already made an offer for the second stage of work. The new technical solution took into account the factors that were identified earlier. For example, we added the use of polypropylene fiber – we thought it would be a more technically correct solution.

For the first time we worked strictly according to the project proposed by the customer. At the second stage, we decided to make our own technical solution, our own project. We will insist that it is used. In general, the floor design will remain the same, but there are nuances. One of them – as mentioned above, polypropylene fiber should also be added to reinforcement reinforcement. We expect that during the year we will implement the second stage of work.
