The client's need was to install a concrete floor with a hardener in an underground parking lot. The parking was two-level, during the negotiations the client was interested in a low price per square meter, not to the detriment of the quality of the coating.

how we implemented this floor design

WE FOUND A MORE ECONOMICAL SOLUTION FOR PARKING IN KHIMKI

The client's design solution was expensive, it was a standard concrete floor with double reinforcement. Taking into account the works and materials, a total of 15,753,461 rubles came out according to the customer's estimate. We, in turn, offered a 100 mm thick concrete floor reinforced with polypropylene fiber. This solution has significantly reduced the cost of installing a parking floor. In total, 10,560,389 rubles were issued for all materials and works.

ADVANTAGES OF THE USED FIBER-CONCRETE TECHNOLOGY

Fibro-concrete floor technology, unlike reinforced with reinforcement, has a number of advantages. A single armature works only for the bottom or only for the top, a double one will be a good blow to the wallet. Fiber works all over the base, and in some respects surpasses the reinforcing mesh, namely:

  1. Increases the strength of concrete for bending, compression and splitting up to 35%.
  2. Increases impact and fatigue strength over 500%.
  3. Prevents delamination of concrete mix up to 25%.
  4. Reduces the time of primary and final hardening by up to 50%.
  5. Reduces the risk of chipping corners and edges up to 90%.

HOW WE CUT COSTS

The technology we have proposed has reduced the cost by 30%, because polypropylene fiber is cheaper than rebar. It significantly reduces the production time, since it does not need to be reinforced with a reinforcing mesh. At the same time, concrete is already supplied with fiber.

FLOOR ARRANGEMENT FOR UNDERGROUND PARKING

After agreeing on all stages of work, our task was to fill the parking floor in the shortest possible time and with high quality. We encountered the first difficulties when completing the work of the first map. As it turned out, the ventilation system worked poorly in the parking lot, and since the ceilings were designed only for passenger cars and were quite low, there was a problem of carbon monoxide. We had to fight this, we came up with a solution to create maximum ventilation of the room – we rented industrial fans and bought personal protective equipment.

THE RESULT OF THE WORK

During the delivery of the work, the client had no complaints about the quality of the floor. The floor surface has passed all checks. The customer received the main benefit in the form of huge savings in the amount of 5,193,072 rubles.
