WE HAVE IDENTIFIED AND IMPLEMENTED THE OPTIMAL ENGINEERING SOLUTION
To our client, another contractor poured a concrete slab under the rule. Because of this, it was uneven in places and with a weak top layer, which had to be removed a little. The client was looking for a solution in the form of a finishing coating that would be resistant to high operational loads. This is an important factor, since the room is a car service, where heavy construction equipment will enter and be repaired. The second important factor for the final coating is the resistance of the surface to water and oils.
The following technical solution was proposed and implemented – a finishing coating using the Italian SuperConcrete Klindex technology.
The technology consisted of 10 stages. First there was rough grinding with a diamond tool, which removed a few millimeters of a weak layer and developed a filler and marked a homogeneous pattern. Next came the polishing. After it, we impregnated the treated surface with a special agent and thereby strengthened the concrete and increased its vintage strength. In the last stages, we polished the floor and sealed the surface with hydrophobic impregnation. In parallel, a heavy grinding machine weighing 470 kg with a planetary mechanism produced by Klindex was used in these works. Thanks to the mass and rigidly fixed planetary mechanism, the surface was leveled in parallel with the grinding.
