We had to carry out work at this facility strictly according to a ready-made project. According to it, it was required to make a self-leveling polymer coating on a cement-sand screed for administrative premises. At the approval stage, there was only one change that we proposed and subsequently implemented.

Standard self-leveling epoxy floors have a glossy appearance. Such coatings lose their luster and become opaque with prolonged intense exposure. In this case, we have administrative premises, which means that there will be a lot of people moving in them. After some time in such places, the floor would lose its glossiness, and it would be preserved in the corners.

We proposed to make the entire coating matte in order to maintain a uniform appearance. The customer and the general contractor agreed with us and made this change in the final project.

how we implemented this floor design

DIFFICULTIES DURING WORK

The object was administrative, not industrial premises. According to the design project, the final coating should have been multicolored. It was necessary to connect polymer materials of different colors and ensure that the junctions were solid.

The second difficulty is that the work was carried out in February and March of this year. Then the prices of materials rose sharply. Because of this, we were 50% out of the estimated cost, which was initially set by the customer. I had to search and select analogues very quickly in order to "get into" the budget. Moreover, each of our choices was coordinated with the customer and the designer. The requirements for the characteristics of materials remained the same – the task was to find cheaper analogues of Russian production. Coped, found.

Well, one more important point. According to the project, the foundation was a cement-sand screed, which we also made. With this kind of foundation as a foundation, most polymerists do not want to work. They believe that the polymer on the screeds simply does not lie, but flakes off. We took up this project. Due to the use of a clear standard technology, this polymer was applied in such a way that it obtained good adhesion to the substrate and at the same time provided high aesthetics of the coating.

OUR RESULTS

Both the customer and the general contractor were satisfied with the final coverage. They now have plans for another facility at the same address, and we are one of the main contenders to be contractors again.
