We make concrete floors with topping at most of our facilities. But this time the customer contacted us with a different task. It was necessary to carry out work for the gas distribution station.

A detailed survey of the client and an on–site inspection of the facility gave us all the necessary information to select the optimal technical solution - an intrinsically safe industrial self-leveling floor with an average thickness of 5 cm using the material "Reapol-20I".

how we implemented this floor design

WORK FEATURES

When using this technology, we encountered some difficulties, one of which was controlling the temperature of the water, material and rooms. Heat guns were used to warm up the object; water was brought from a column and poured into barrels located in the main room; material from the street was also brought inside to avoid cooling.

Another feature of the technology used here was the selection of the correct amount of water for preparing the solution. According to the manufacturer's instructions, 2-3 liters per 1 bag were allowed. At first, we decided to use 2.7-2.8 liters.

These numbers turned out to be too large. After talking with the technologists of the manufacturer of the mixture "Reapol-20I", we realized that the amount must be carefully selected on the spot.

Our ignorance led to the fact that in the first section of the fill there were delaminations. Such places had to be corrected by additional grinding. In the second and third fills, we, having already learned from experience, used less water, and everything went smoothly there.

OUR RESULTS

Although the work on this site was not without errors, we fixed everything and handed over the floor to the client in proper condition and the required quality. In the next few days, the boiler room equipment should be installed in the premises.
